Marfa, №23
Marfa Journal is a biannual publication that explores the intersection of contemporary art, fashion, and culture. It is published in a luxurious hardcover format, making it a collectible item for those interested in modern art and fashion. Dazed fell in love with Marfa Journal from the very first issue, even interviewing its founder in 2014 — Central Saint Martins graduate Alexandra Gordienko. According to her, the magazine’s “artists for artists” ethos means more feeling, less overthinking. Much like its namesake — the Texas desert town known as the “capital of cultural chaos” — the publication has become a playground for talented artists and photographers working at the intersection of high fashion and art.
