Fräulein, a German magazine by Numéro Berlin art director Goetz Offergeld, draws inspiration from the strength and beauty of women. It explores their role in contemporary culture and fashion, and their place in society. The bold content is matched by radical design from Mike Meiré, the graphic mind behind 032c, A Magazine, Blau, Arch+, and other print masterpieces.

The magazine’s name creates a striking linguistic contrast — Fräulein has largely fallen out of use in German due to its reference to a woman’s marital status. But here, it takes on a fitting new context, proudly displayed on the cover.

Issue 41 of Fräulein engages directly with contemporary ideological fragmentation — arguing for the possibility of disagreement without cancellation, and for keeping room in the conversation for nuance.
